A Great Combination

This piece of land lays right in the middle of a suburban neighborhood. The layout was designed by humans but only mother nature can take the credit for growing the plants. It shows both signs of the wild and of civilization.
You can see the man made features right away with the boardwalk and seating deck. It is very convenient for someone who might enjoy walking around or sitting down to observe and appreciate the environment. The natural qualities are a little more interesting and inviting. As if they were expecting you, the humble trees welcome you with open arms and the plants are always thrilled to have visitors. All flowers immediately become vibrant with excitement to get some attention. Gravel trails guide you throughout the park to experience it all of it from the sidelines. A closer experience is possible by going off the trail into the more forest-like path to get a near the trees. You can tell they have great relationships with each other they way they intertwine. In the middle of everything, there is a small prairie trying its best to imitate natural prairies but falls short in the middle. Almost all of the pieces of the puzzle are here, except the ones we can't replicate. Above it all, is the shining sun layering us with a blanket of its warmth.
On a thankful note, the world needs as much nature as it can get and this is the closest most of the people in the suburbs can get to a prairie. The park has a nice combination of man and nature. All of the features complement each other in a harmony. It is a great example of how to make an environment people friendly without destroying it.
